I am a professionally trained makeup artist with experience in editorial, Fashion, TV, Bridal, Music Videos and Film. To date I have worked regularly at London Fashion Week, fashion shows across the country and recently came 2nd place in the Catwalk category for Professional Beauty London, judged by Lan Nguyen. I have worked on ad campaigns for Bootlegger Jeans and I have appeared on CTV Morning Live (Canada’s morning show) as a guest makeup artist.
I have been published in numerous fashion magazines, with my work appearing on front covers as well as inside features. niche within the makeup industry is clean beauty.
I am passionate about using both skincare and makeup that has clean ingredients which is sustainably sourced and which, where possible, is sustainably packaged.
I believe that from a health point of view clean products are of massive importance. It is not unusual in the beauty industry to find ingredients that are linked to cancer as well as ingredients that can have a significant impact on women’s hormonal and gynaecological health. Clean beauty is also is paving the way for sustainable beauty. When clean beauty first became a concept the quality of the products was often not professional grade, nor was it long lasting and the pigmentation did not have a great payoff.
However, fast forward 15 years and we have amazing brands such as Ilia, Mob Beauty, TOOD and Haus Labs, hitting us with big and bold colours and formulas that stand up against the big brands in the industry.
My passion for clean beauty overlaps with another passion I have, which is human rights. I write a human rights blog and won the Premier Digital Award for Up & Coming Blogger of the Year in 2018. In order to pursue my desire to be involved in human rights whilst working as a makeup artist, I offer a free skin and makeup care service to chemotherapy patients.
